What can I say, he likes to sing and dance!

My son, Beau, is going to be incredibly talented when he gets older. He LOVES music. Often we'll be listening to the radio in the car, and he'll be bopping his head, or wiggling his feet along to the tune. But, you should see him when there's music and he's standing up. It's a riot! This little video should give you a good idea about that... (before you press play on the videos, scroll down to my Playlist and press "Pause"!!!)

And then he loves to sing too! He has always loved having me sing to him. I think one of the very first phrases he ever learned was, "More song, Mom?" Well, in the next video Matt and I caught him doing this. Luckily, he kept singing and singing so we could catch it. Matt and I have sung this song when we go out for a family bike ride. He's playing with his little toy bike and singing along. Think, "Bicycle" by Queen.

Catch up time

Yeah, I know, I'll get to it. Promise! :)

Moab Retreat

Well, here's the story peop's.. The day we had to put Hinckley down was the day Kayley, James, Beau, and I were to drive out to Moab to meet up with Matt. He'd been working out in Monticello for 4 days and we were planning a little vacay. How little I knew that I seriously needed a "life retreat". You know what I mean..

So, we packed it all up, and I sucked it up and off we went, 3 adults, 1 toddler and 2 dogs (K & J's). 300 and somethindy miles later around midnight pm we arrived at a Fantastic little place called, "Kokopelli Inn" in Moab (look it up..) :) were we all, and I mean ALL packed into one room with 2 double beds. hehe... SARDINES anyone??

But, no, really, we had a Fabulous Time!! The weather, perfect, the scenery, loverly, the company, awesome, and the memories..........yep, you guessed it..... Priceless.

We Jeeped on Hell's Revenge, did a little late night Geocaching via little yellow flashlights (Thanks James!), hiked a bit in Arched National Park, and ate some yummy food, especially the little Thai food place around the corner!! mmmmmm....

All in all, I was glad we went, but it was hard coming home. I bawled my eyes out the first night back, but I'm better now. And anyways, since I don't want to crawl down that sad little path again, here's some cool pics from our trip. :) Happy Times.

Kayley hitting it hard on an as of yet undefined trail...

Wheelin' his truck in one of the coolest possible places, ever.

I don't know that I've seen 3 kids..
I mean boys.. so happy to be wheelin.

Out hiking around, geocaching in the daytime, waiting for Matt to arrive from Monticello.

Warning, My son is a GOOFBALL!!

Tag?!?!?

Oh Jana, I'll get you my pretty..... ;)

Well folks, my loving cousin photo tagged me. Apparently I'm supposed to post the 6th pic in my 6th folder and the 4th pic in my 4th folder with explanations.... Well, here goes...

4th of 4th

Nice, huh?

Well this pic dated, June 26, 2008, was my photo showing how gargantuan our zucchini were growing within just a couple days time. For perspective, my hand is about 7-1/2 inches long.

6th of 6th

This photo dated, July 21, 2008, is of my sister, Rachelle, opening a gift at her surprise 30th birthday party. This gift was either Cd's or 2 video games (one was a kitchen game..) or something.

Errr, so there you go. Fun stuff, eh? Well then, I tag: Jamie Prax, Rachel Campbell, Katie Jennings, and.... You!! hehe... ;)

In Memoriam, We Love You Hinckley!

So, life has been difficult lately. As you may know we adopted a rather large and old Lab Retriever whom we named Hinckley in May 2008. Well, he had a growth in his jaw and ended up getting it surgically removed just before Halloween. Seven days later I noticed some white in the incision area, the next day it was slightly swollen and had a greenish ring around it. The next day it was double in size and the green was spread. The day after that it had doubled in size again and you could tell he was uncomfortable so I took him into the vet because I was sure it was infected. Wrong. His tumor, an osteogenic carcinoma (aka. cancer), was malignant and extremely metastatic meaning, mean and extremely agressive.

I asked the vet what to expect/do, as I've never had this experience with a pet before, oh, and did I mention Matt was out of town that whole week?!? So I was dealing with this alone but with assistance from Kayley and my local family. Pretty much the vet told me Hinckley would probably stop eating within the week and then starve to death and that removing the tumor again would be pointless and expensive. SO.... after much, and I mean MUCH crying on my part and a lot of painful thought after asking everyone else what to do, we had to have Hinckley put down on November 6th.

It's been very tramatic for me because Hinkster and I bonded right away, and as some of you know, he was like my shadow, always following me everywhere I went. I really loved him, and it's been interesting explaining it to Beau. Matt also had a really difficult time with this because he was in Monticello, UT for his work and wasn't able to say good-bye. Needless to say, we both had a good cry once we finally reunited.

So, in Memoriam I would like to say

Thanks Hinckley for letting us love you. You brought an awesome spirit in our home and we will miss you! We will see you again on the other side old boy.

Love: Momma, Matt, and Beau

Happy Halloween!

Yeah, so I know I'm slow getting my pics up and such. Oh well.

Well, this year was a Complete Blast!! We threw a party and everyone dressed up. We played some games like, Mummy Race & Sticker Stalker. We also had some very fun food. Special thanks to Janet, Jamie Campbell, Jamie Prax, Bonnie, Rachelle, Kayley, James Campbell, and Matt for all their help with the food! It was awesome you guys!! Thanks goes out to Janet for helping me with some of the the activities. The kids had fun with your story and song, and also the Spooky Trail was very, very fun! Also, a specially large THANK YOU to Kayley!!! With her it wouldn't have been nearly as decorous, and she kept me sane.

And, as always, thanks to all the attended. You're costumes were way fun and I truly hope you all had a good time! We sure did! Now, if I can get all the decor down... ;)

Here's whatever pics I managed to get. I know I missed a lot of good stuff, so if any of you out there have anymore pics, send them my way, Please!! I hope you all had a Happy Halloween!!!
P.S. Jamie Prax, "Bah Humbug." ;)
